Your hockey-rituals before season openers

Found that thread on a another board and I thought it might be interesting, mine are pretty simple:

- music:

Slayer - Stain of Mind

Slipknot - Wait and Bleed

10 mins before the game: Three Days Grace - Animal I've become

- preparation:

go fast and hard with my punching bag

- video:

rewatch Kronwalls biggest hits, favorite fights of last season and Pasha's highlights and replays of 2002

- last but not least: learning the national anthem of america :-)

season openers are just so special.

In college I used to stay up the night before drinking ice beer and watching all my favorite hockey movies before skipping class the next day and getting to the bar...early. I tend to think that would be frowned upon these days.

Not if you lived in a Simpsons episode.

Well the game started at 1.35am here so that's pretty much what I'll be doing tomorrow

Before every game

-music

Baby Beluga - Raffi and The Sunshine Band

Nothing Compares To You - Sinead O'Connor

Man I Feel Like a Woman - Shania Twain

-preparation

The last 10 minutes before a game I stare out at the moon and wonder if maybe, just maybe, Larry Murphy is staring at that same moon and are two lost souls are somehow connected, if not just for that brief second.

Lastly, I imagine how difficult it must be to celebrate 4th of July in a capital city like Toronto that never ever gets warm. If I was the Canadian president I would just move the 4th celebrations to some place farther south like Windsor. Come to think of it, Frank you're from Calgary, wouldn't happen to know my buddy Garth in Windsor would you?

Lol I assume that was a joke. Clearly we don't celebrate the 4th of July. The polar bears don't like it.

Don't worry. His brother is running this time not him, so it will be much better. We might even start celebrating national igloo day again!!

Off the record, Canada has the best national anthem IMO. Just plain fun to sing. Always wished it was Oh America instead.

Now that I've admitted that it's mandatory that I insult the shinyness of your money and also you say about funny

Hmm I feel you missed a monopoly reference somewhere in there?
