You guys do realize that an empty lower bowl is nothing new, right? It has nothing to do with lack of offseason moves, or Franzen being lazy and sucking, or people being pissed about the Cleary signing. Don't use that to further the narrative because it is disingenuous. The lower bowl has belonged to the corporations for a loooong time.

You should check out the scoring stats for a typical 4th line winger in the NHL. Might want to have a drink and sit down first.

I like that Brendan Smith gets pk time. It works to his strengths (skating and physical toughness).

I think staged fighting is lame and the NHL can remove that. But if two players get hot and want to go I think it should be good to go and part of the competition.

Ericsson is so slow and bad at moving the puck out of our zone. Everytime he gets the puck its a soft play to the blue line or behind is own net to let kronwall clean up the mess. Our top pairing would be so much better with someone who has skills to offer

Ericsson is so slow and bad at moving the puck out of our zone. Everytime he gets the puck its a soft play to the blue line or behind is own net to let kronwall clean up the mess. Our top pairing would be so much better with someone who has skills to offer

Are Penner, Clifford, and Nolan good on the pk? Who knows? They don't play it. The Kings skill and speed guys play the pk. Their 4th line just beats other teams up and wears em down. Our 4th line just gets scored on. No value.

I agree. Our 4th line is easy to play against. They don't wear other teams down, especially in a playoff series. It's just a combination of different jobbers with no identity to it.

Killing penalties is important, but it's not like we lead the league each year in that category and go deep in the playoffs as a result. We have plenty of forwards who can kill penalties.

I honestly think he is the most expendable of our top 4. Kronner, Smith, DD will be here for a long time. I can see Ericsson being moved in the next 2-3 years if we are able to land a RH D and the kids keep developing the way they do.
