its taken four years and nobody aside from kindl has realized a soft shot from the point that gets past the first set of shin pads is a hell of a lot better than dropping your head and getting your shot blocked by the guy a foot in front of you

I think Detroit's forwards must get some kind of bonus for making an extra unnecessary pass instead of shooting the puck in situations when they might actually have a chance to score.

Get Nyquist back on the top line. He's easily the Wings best player and he's playing with Helm and Nestrasil still. It's not like the Wings have this stellar top-six anyways with the luxury of slotting Nyquist lower. No Pav, apparently Weiss isn't allowed to play anymore and Alfie is gone.

For the life of me I don't understand why Babs refuses to play Smith on the PP! He has such good offensive instincts. Can make great passes, knows when to shoot, has a good one timer. Our PP would be better with him on it. Play him with Danny D on the point and 3 forwards up front because the whole 4 forwards thing isn't working.
