I wonder if that could open the market for trading Quincy. He has been very solid lately. Probably wishful thinking from my side....

It may raise the asking price for Myers, if the Bruins are indeed interested in going out and shoring up their D instead of waiting the storm out.

At some point Boston will have to prepare themselves for the post Chara era and I think Myers would be an ideal fit there. He is still young and if he ever develops and becomes even more rugged that guy has Chara 2 written all over him. It took Chara till his late 20 s to become the beast he is today. That's the gamble with Myers but its a gamble i'd gladly play.

At some point Detroit will have to prepare themselves for the post-Lidstrom... oh wait... he's gone and we did nothing?

Seeing as Boston has had such recent cap troubles and were forced to trade Boychuk, I really think the absolute last thing they would do is trade assets for an injury replacement who's getting paid 5.5 million.

This does not affect Myers value in the least.

Ya, that actually makes sense. If they had the cap room they wouldn't have traded boychuk in the first place, and probably wouldn't really be in trouble now.

They can ask for all they want, but it's clear Holland (rightfully) isn't willing to part with our top young players/prospects.

My point is they've already asked for mantha, nyquist, and Larkin. They can't ask for more than that really unless they asked for this year's first as well but no team would give up that much no matter how desperate

Yeah I didn't get that point on first read through, sorry. The fact that Myers hasn't been moved yet I think is indicative that Buffalo has been overvaluing him in a trade. The problem is with how bad they're crashing right now, Myers' stock certainly isn't rising.

Rask is phenomenal, one of the best goalies ive ever seen play. The bruins defence is worse right now then ours was last season... you can put anybody in net there and obviously the stats won't be as great.

Going into this season, there was speculation that boston would be a worse team then they were last year, when you factor in the injuries theyve had with the loss of Iginla, its going to affect your goals against.
