I've been saying that about Myers since the rumors started. He's not that good. He's only an average defenseman. If he was 6'1 and 205 lbs. but did everything else exactly the same nobody would be impressed by him at all. For whatever reason hockey fans are mesmerized by "bigness" regardless of whether or not the biggie has much talent.

He's not bad. He'd be a 3-4 dman on the wings. For how bad his team is he only came in today at either -2 or -3. That's pretty darn good compared to the rest of his team. He's one of the only Sabres actually playing. He's not an all star but he is more than just average. I think the 5k fans that showed up in Florida a couple weeks ago make more noise than this mostly full arena.

For 5 million a year he better be top two on whatever team he's on...and he better produce like it. He doesn't. So no thanks on Tyler "Big for Nothing" Myers.

Smith definitely turned the puck over there, but nobody was showing for the guy, either. Andersson needs to be on the boards for an outlet, not right next to our centerman doing god knows what. Smith still needs to eat it or go hard along the boards, though.

No really, I'm right there with you on Myers. If he could be had for a song, I'd take 'em... but that's not the case. He'll cost you in cap-space and he'll cost you players/picks. Not worth it.

Anyone else just not thrilled with Jurco? We all bought the hype but he's always been the weak link of the kid line and I don't remember ever being wowed. Obviously he's still young but based on what he's shown so far in his NHL career he's looking more like a Brunnstrom or Leino to me. Only not scoring as much but working harder.
