Someone clue me in on the Disney.com references I see periodically on this site...

Stupid nicknames no one knows who it is.

I think guys glendening but I'm not sure.

It's too difficult to use something easy like z or dat or howie it's got to be Disney.com LOL.

The first rule of disney.com is to not talk about disney.com

It's an inside nickname joke only a few members know, which is what makes it so great. For the record, nobody ever actually types out disney.com, but rather the site automatically changes certain initials to it. So it isn't a dumb nickname. What we type is a valid nickname. The fact that the site changes it to disney.com is hilarious.

Rather unnoticed because the Wings played so well last night, but Kindl sat the entire third period and only had 9:13 TOI. Don't recall hearing any reports of an injury during or after the game, which makes it appear as punishment.

I did think Kindl had his worst game last night -- him and Smith were terrible as a pairing in the first period. It is a bit odd though that Kindl only played nine minutes total.

Going forward, Babs needs to stick with DeKeyser/Smith as the second pairing. They complement each other well and Smith has been overall solid this season -- the excessive turnover issue has been mostly resolved. Call up Ouellet and that's a defensively sound third pairing with Quincey.

That's what I wondered. Is Kindl hurt?

Or his he deep in Babcock's doghouse again?

Gotta meme the Edzo while the win is still hot.

And I apologize for my terrible cutting skills, but I only have a touchpad available right now.

Regarding Kindl : You'd have to be very deep into someones doghouse if you chose to run unforced on 5 defenders only . And I doubt that Kindl is that deep into it considering his last few solid performances.

Agreed. I just hadn't heard anything about an injury. Or even mention of an injury.

I didn't catch the game though so maybe they addressed it there. They must've noticed he wasn't on the ice for a long time.

I watched the game didn't honestly. Wings controlled the game so well in the 2nd and 3rd that the our defense was, in a good way, barely noticeable. I just saw Smith playing with Kronwall in the third and assumed Babs had just split the Team Dangerzone ( =Kindl/Smith) due to the shifts before.

My first thought too. That wouldn't explain the benching in the 3rd though.

Maybe Ken Holland has been getting a steady stream of calls of interest regarding Kindl after he scored two goals, and he saw how bad he was playing, so he called babs and immediately demanded a benching, so the coyotes wouldn't change their minds about trading us OEL and Yandle for kindl, Lashoff and a conditional 7th

*wakes up from best dream ever*

I bet whoever is paired with Lashoff has a bad game

I think Kindl is the lesser of those two evils especially since we would like to trade him. Kills his value when he was just starting to score

Yeah, I'm not a fan of at all of sitting Kindl if this truly isn't a health-related issue. Lashoff is a plug. Even at his worst, Kindl is a better player and does move the puck pretty well. Plus if the Wings are still looking to trade Kindl, his value isn't going to increase sitting in the press box.
