Unpopular? this is what pretty much everyone says.

And not sure being completely dominant among d-men in point production should be seen as "the only saving grace" :P

I meant it as like his only saving grace defensively is fast.

The points thing was separate.

And say that to anyone with any ties to Ottawa, or someone who just says "Norris" when you talk about him defensively.

Really happy for Weiss.

I never understood the overwhelming amount of hate he gets on here. While he isn't the savior of this team or anything, he is a decent player for the contract we got him for. Not to mention, he was injured all of last season, and Babcock has pretty much flat out refused to give him a chance this season, for whatever reason.

Hope he keeps it going. (that is, if Babs even gives him a chance to)

Well he's definitely nowhere near as good defensively as he is offensively but he isn't bad. He is as you say fast and reads the game well and he is like Babs would say a great puckmover and has a good first pass but he is small, not very physical and doesn't have as good positioning as elite defensemen normally do. People just looove harping on every single defense mistake he makes though, he gets scrutinized more because he is so good offensively.

i almost dont want weiss to get the hatty. once someone scores 3 or more goals they disappear for a long time

I wouldn't wonder if Weiss will disappear after this game for a long time. He missed a ton of hockey and it will take time for him to get to his former hockey self.
