I think he may just glide after he's tired, like he doesn't try at all.

Exactly.

Even that last shift instead of working to maintain possession of the puck in the offensive zone, he just throws it behind the net and gives up possession. Vancouver recovers and he heads right off the ice.

He's such a good player but shifts like that are so irritating.
