Not a surprise, I think most of the board here was saying in preseason that by Thanksgiving Weiss would be a dominating player and would cool off any rash talk about a needless trade.

Awesome game. I was about to talk s*** about Helm and how I didn't want him on Datsyuk's wing because he can't receive a pass for s***, and then he goes and scores two, one of which was pretty nice. Glad I didn't say anything now. Really liked how that 3rd line played though, how about that Weiss guy?

Glad for Weiss. When he was sent down to Griffins and then left the game with the injury I almost lost hope for him. Glad he made it. Now lets hope that he'll be healthy for the rest of his contract

Listened to the game at work. After the win they compared this team to 2009. If babcock doesnt get coach of the year and holland getting gm of the century itll be wrong, about as wrong as babcock leaving in the off season, after all the work and development. I give them a 3 year window. If theres not another cup in detroit by then, zombies are gonna eat us all . In my video game experienced opinion, they are a forward and a dman away from being the model franchise again, or still.

Everyone was rooting for him yes but the ice was more then thin. Obviously wanted to see him work out, I couldn't think of a worse case scenario 1st season. Very Mike Madano
