More Mantha stuff.....

no I can't say the who, whats when where why's...... So, he is a very humble kid. Mantha openly admits he hasn't adjusted to the AHL game yet. he is surprised at the difference in speed, strength, roughness etc.... wasn't expecting it to be as big a difference. Mantha thinks he needs a full year in GR. He is fully aware that the entire AHL targets him when he steps on the ice. the other teams game plan for him every shift.

Of course all of this is good to hear/see. The game of adjustments is what makes or breaks most pro athletes. can they see what the other teams are doing and then adjust their game to counter it.

It's likely Mantha probably did say something like this, I've heard many of his interviews and it does sound like something he would say. However, I don't really get the point of this thread... It could have easily been added to the already existing Mantha thread, and without being able to provide a source, it makes even less sense to post.

Anyhow, Mantha should start the season in Detroit, if he starts in Grand Rapids, Ken Holland is a moron. He is that good, he definitely doesn't need time to adjust in the minor league...... :ninja:

It takes me a while to unread things. I've always been a bit slow at that.

I hear ya.

As far as Mantha goes, I think he'll be labeled with the "invisible" tag alot in his career. Night-to-night consistency was the knock on him pre draft. He plays a floaty type game too. So when he's not scoring, he's going to look like he's useless.

Still excited about him though.
