Where were team-mates on the Smith headshot

I'm thinking about starting an appreciation thread on him. Let's not mention his name in any other forums (even the enforcer forums) otherwise, it'll seem a bit much.

You can probably add Orr and McLaren to that thread as well. According to LGW these 3 are the only enforcers in existence.

Meh. Don't complicate things. No need to add other players to the thread. There are NO other players.

Pretty much agree with your point of view - however it will not change as long as Holland/Babcock are in Detroit.

And to think I got excited when Curt Fraser was coaching in the minors. Then again, I got excited when Joe Kocur was on the Wings bench as an assistant.

While what you said is true.....There are times when the rats do stand up for themselves as in this Thornton/Cooke fight back in 2010...

I don't have much hope for any 'tuffness' to be added to the Wings roster any time soon since the Wings have become a 'model' if you will of what the NHL will become in the near future...Teams like Toronto are just 1 example.

Just 30 minutes ago I was excited to see a half eaten donut that my son didn't finish...I swooped down faster on it that a buzzard on road kill!

Was there jelly in it?

That just aroused me a little bit.

You? ...or GMR and F. Michael?

Look. Don't get me wrong. I like to play both sides of the fence when it comes to the fisticuffs. Love 'em and Hate 'em.

The whole Franzen quote above just spells out exactly what goes on with our team and it's attitude towards fighting. Sure, if Ericsson is on the ice things are a little different. If Smith is on the ice... a little different. ...but there's not enough difference on the roster to change the overall "fighting attitude" on the team.

Holland has tried in the past to rectify this situation: Downey, Tootoo. McCarty. et al.

It's just not a team philosophy/priority or a philospohy/priority as dictated by the head coach and the roster he puts on the ice.

/truth.

Boston creme and I'm in no matter the state it's in. #doughnuttruth

I would love to take Holland to a LNAH game, just to see how many times he faints during the game when a fight breaks out.
