The Nashville Predators are a different team this season then what people have seen in the past.Sign of a really good and well coached team when they don't string losses together. They are having a great year and should be recognized for it.

Right now they are one point behind the blackhawks for the top of central,3rd in the western conf.Hom record is 14-2-1 and road record is 10-7-2,last ten games 7-2-1

Yah, really impressed with Preds and the job that Laviolette is doing. Surprised to be honest. Barry Trotz on the other hand is having a bit of a harder time with Princess Ovi.

the preds had their largest attendance in franchise history against the blues last night,17,401

That can't be right. They have done a nice job of always packing that arena when detroit would come to town. I find it hard to believe they never got more than 14.5k there for one of those games, especially playoffs.

Predators' success adds up to attendance record

http://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/nhl/predators/2014/12/31/predators-success-adds-attendance-record/21119927/

The Predators are a popular ticket this season in Nashville.

The latest sign was Tuesday night's draw of 17,401 fans at Bridgestone Arena. The crowd set the franchise's single-game home attendance record in the 3-2 win over Central Divison rival St. Louis.

Living in Tennessee, I get all the home Preds games locally and have watched a handful of their games this season when the Wings weren't on. While I initially didn't agree with a couple moves they made like letting Hornqvist go, they really do look like a team that has things figured out.

Us Wings fans struggle with consistency problems that have been ongoing for a few seasons now, while Nashville is doing quite the opposite right now. It helps that they have a world class goalie like Rinne between the pipes also, I easily put him up there with the league's elite.

They made big changes, showed that they wanted to turn their team around with the coaching change and all the player additions and subtractions. While I don't forget the past, it's good to see them be a bit more successful and a state like Tennessee supporting hockey and they aren't headed down the path of the Coyotes.

Being a southerner and no Atlanta team to pull for the Preds are a sub team to cheer for. Also my brother and I met Peter Laviolette at the All Star game when it was in Atlanta he was really nice and accomodating let us take pics with him. My bro is a flyers fan so he liked pete from the flyer days. Good for nash and pete and southern hockey.

'Seventh Man' Making a Difference in Nashville

The support of the Seventh Man has always been present when the Nashville Predators take to the ice in Music City. This season’s 99.2 percent capacity mark when the Preds skate at Bridgestone Arena only backs up that claim.

That support culminated on Dec. 30 against St. Louis, when the franchise set a mark for the largest recorded capacity crowd in Predators history. 17,410 fans saw the Preds defeat the Blues that night, in one of Nashville’s 14 home wins.

The Predators are 14-2-1 at home on the campaign. No NHL club has fewer losses in their own barn this season

Nice to read and good seeing the team getting fan support can't help but cheer for Rinne. He may be the best goalie in the league at the moment
