Nothing good happens with Franzen out there. Vacated the right point off the faceoff for some unknown reason.

I don't get how in all this time that Franzen has essentially 'clocked out' of being a factor for this team on most nights, no one has ever really called him out on it, I mean from the coaching staff and/or players

It's always crap like, 'Yeah, 'ol Mule's gotta get going, we need him out there' and generic stuff like that- perhaps more is said behind closed doors, but if it is, it still isn't getting through

I wish a coach and/or teammate would publicly call him out, might wake his despondent ass up

Not an ideal start to the trip. Go back to being the team that played with speed and tried to outscore the opposition instead of just hoping to only allow a goal or two. Babs is really getting frustrating with his insistence to turn this group into something they aren't.

Also, Franzen has no purpose anymore. Pulkkinen would definitely offer more on the third line and power play. Huge mistake not buying him out last summer and cutting bait when they had the chance.

Holy crap - Ken and Ozzie seemed completely incapable of not talking about Ryan Miller tonight. I understand that it is a relevant story line and he was playing well, but can we keep the 'opposing goaltender is so freaking awesome I just pissed myself at his awesomeness' conversation to, I don't know, less than half the game? I might as well have listened to the Vancouver broadcast as much as I wanted the announcers to shut the hell up tonight.

yeah, but he's got great cap value, and now that he's 35, and only scoring sporadically, we'll uh, we'll...... uh.......

well truth is we cant keep playing this style we have to start playing more aggressive you got guys like tats and goose who we know can score out of ******* no where and Z and Dats too but they all seem mellowed out because of this Defensive minded s*** we are not going to be teams like this 1-0 or 2-1 you keep playing like that you play from behind night after night and its not always going to be coming from behind to win

Weiss had less then 10 minutes tonight... We were struggling yet no change in the lines.

There were line changes tonight. Jurco got bumped down and Nyquist played with Sheahan and Tatar. Just no change with Weiss.

He played less than 9 minutes and 3 of that was PP time. It's gotten so bad it would be good to hear some explanation as to why Babcock has glued his ass to the bench. The commentators don't even seem to talk about it or speculate on it.
