Mike Yeo (Wild) Has Meltdown At Practice

I said at he time it's fine Parise and Suter wanted to go home and play close to family, those things are important. That being said don't EVER try and tell me you went to Minnesota to win the Stanley Cup because you didn't. Sure, you can throw word salad around like you did but the truth is plain to see.

I hadn't seen the video when I posted in this thread yesterday. Having seen it, I'm gonna walk back my thought that this might be some really bad behind-the-scenes stuff bubbling to the surface. I mean, that's certainly a possibility - but taking the video sort of at face value, this doesn't look like a "meltdown" or an "explosion." At least, not by hockey coach standards. This is what my peewee coach was like on a good day (minus the bag-skating).

As for the video, I agree it wasn't a meltdown. I put it in the topic title because it was the title media gave it. In high school, I got bag skated for a full hour and a half before. Zamboni had to go over the ice twice there was so much snow. I don't have a problem with what he did but he shouldn't of left the ice.

That was classic. I've heard less "beeps" while watching a dump truck in reverse. If they miss the playoffs, Yeo's a gonner.

Hey! Maybe if he doesn't go to Toronto, Pittsburgh, Edmonton, Montreal, Boston, or Las Vegas, Babcock will go coach in Minny?????

On a serious note: sorry to here about Parise.

I know that Yeo doesn't have much on defense, so I don't hold it against him that his team is HORRIBLE defensively.

But how is it possible that his team is only average offensively? I've got to imagine that Chuck Fletcher spent a zillion dollars and ALL of the teams' quality prospects on offensive guys expecting a little bit more bang for his buck in that regard.

So much talent on that team... :hysterical:

I bet Suter goes home each night and gives his wife the evil eye for convincing him to re-neg on his verbal agreement to play in Detroit to be near HER family. I also find in humorous that he said after he signed that he called Dany Heatley before he changed his mind to NOT go to Detroit and asked him if the team (Minny) was the real deal and if they had the tools to get a Cup. Heatley said yes and that convinced Suter to go with his wife to Minny. Where is Dany now? Poor Suter, you should have been a man of your word and came to the perennial contenders. Now you are stuck in hockey hell with your, blah, in-laws...

I find this to be extremely tame and the category of "meltdown" is definitely undeserved and an exaggeration by media.

I was thinking the same thing.....I feel this probably happens all the time in pro sports, it just usually happens behind closed doors.
