Our defense has time and space to shoot at the expense of our forwards, who are being checked extra tight. We need an offensive defensman not only to score, but to pull those forwards up to open up some more space lower down. Granted, we're on a 6 on 5 so obvously Washington is going to play defensive, but this has been a theme all night, and all season. Tbh, I'd be perfectly happy if they just turned the reigns over to Mrazek full time while Jimmy is out. Obviously Gus will play some, but I'd be more comfortable having Petr in the starter role for the next little while. After a shaky start to the year, he's been extremely good. If Mrazek is winning, they'll keep him in.If not, well see Gus. But it looks like we got a couple weeks of Mrazek for him to try to steal the back up role for good.
