Well, on this we can fully agree. Edwards and Julien both have a way of mitigating Bruins' players actions. Ken, Mickey and Mike don't usually sugarcoat a bad play.

Not unless its a shootout loss.

260 lbs, 4 % body fat, 6,9 inch, 33 ! pull ups, hardest slapshot in the league, 7 languages... - 37 years old just 1 word: absolute freak of nature

Bruins will have to pull a rabit out of somewhere if they hope to replace some of the things this guy can do.

What the he'll did krejci leading the playoffs in points twice have anything to do with the fight?

I think They were just trying to say how awesome he is, like "hes the playoff point leader, and he's sticking up for himself and fighting his own fights, he's the next great one!"

Type thing.

No, it was more like "He's A STAR PLAYER! NO ONE SHOULD TOUCH HIM! He's sacred and holy and how dare that fourth line "hack" take exception to be wrapped up by him! Also, please disregard my earlier comments about Chara taking on Paquette because they are totally in opposition to what I just said."

That's Jack Edwards in a nutshell. Hypocritical ******-nozzle. Over the top and to the edge. I think Kip's got him pretty much figured out.

Used to think it was comical, but now it's just plain ridiculous. Everyone has their likes and dislikes when it comes to their announce team, but this guy's just a frigging joke.

While I agree Chara tends to pick, and choose who he fights - he is the Bruins best dman, and I for one wouldn't want him in the sin bin, or IR if I were a fan, or Julien.

Off the top of my head - I cannot think if there ever was a bout between Chara, and a legit tough guy?

There have been many fights (if you can call them that). Simon, Brashear, Cairns, Laraque, Parker, etc. But he's conveniently fallen down at the right moment in most of them or the fights were hugfests.

He beat Koci, which might be the highlight of Chara's tough guy career.

Keep in mind, these fights were before his current heyday in Boston.

Chara would destroy him. For sure a fight worth watching.I think he fought Kip Brenan a few years ago but] too would like seeing him fight some real toughguys | same goes for Weber Edited by frankgrimes

One of these days, the Wings will sign Lesnar and McGrattan, and then Boston will really, really not enjoy playing against us.

Not gonna happen he rather sees our players getting pushed around, concussed and endlessly crosschecked..

Gotta love the blindly biased announcers claiming that Paquette threw the first punch and Chara countered.

What the replay clearly shows is Paquette skate up to Chara and chirp at him, at which point Chara throws a dirty cross check/butt end to his face, that Paquette returns. The Chara throws a gloved sucher punch, and knocks him down.

Would hate to be the guy that returns an undercooked Whopper when either of these 2 are working.

If my memory serves me right - Chara's father was a self-defense instructor in the Czechoslovakian army, and was also a member of their Judo Olympic team.

A family of bad asses.

I think he is a wrestler (not WWF) but man that fitness level at this age is surely impressive.
