I know its a relatively small sample size, but right now Mrazek's 2.12GAA would be good for top 5 in the league if he was ranked at nhl.com, and his .923% would be good for top 10.

What's the rule ... how many games or mins do you have to chalk up before you get listed? I just checked and saw 14 games as the lowest.

Pretty close to Howie's stat - 2.11 GAA an .920 % ... we got ourselves a pretty good tandem. Jennings?

What happens when Monster comes back now? I can't see how they can send Mrazek down, he's playing incredible.

I understand he's a rookie goalie but I actually feel more comfortable with Petr in net. He really is a great puck handler and breaks up dump ins way better than Jimmy. Howard's been great this year but I would love to see Mrazek as our playoff starter, I have a feeling he gets better the higher the pressure is, hence the fact he's playing better this year in the NHL than AHL. I probably need to calm down a tad but I've been super impressed.

I have no clue what the rule is. Eddie Lack for Vancouver is at 14 games played, 11 games started. Mrazek is at 12 games played, 10 games started. He's been involved in a little more than 25% of all the Wings' games this season.

Frankly I'd rather Monster back up Mrazek until Howard is healthy again. Monster hasn't played in quite a while, Mrazek has been doing as good as any goalie in the league right now, and Babcock's mantra is earn your spot, so unless Gus can beat out Mrazek for the top spot I think Mrazek should keep it. When Howard comes back, obviously Mrazek has to go back down, but its exciting to see this kid doing as well as he has been.
