The website Grantland has done a wonderful behind the scenes write up of the Original Russian Five about a documentary, interviewing Larionov, Fetisov and others who grew up in the Russian system. Anyone want to guess who the young coach back in 1956 that became enamored with the Russian style the first time he saw it? Yep, he'd go on to use the Russian system to devastating effect as we all know.
