This perfectly illustrates my point. No way can Carter handle all four of those intelligent, young ladies. Two, maybe. But not four. Which is why he needs his wingman? And where is his wingman? Cooling his heels in Manchester, New Hampshire. Now Carter is going to have to try and entertain all four of those women by himself. It's a tragedy.

Doesn't Jarret Stoll play for LA?

And BTW, why does the Kings affiliate play in New Hampshire? Their call ups must be jet lagged by the time they enter the lineup.

I'm about 90% sure Jarret Stoll is dating, or married, to Erin Andrews. So common beach bimbos are likely beneath him lol. But not Carter and Richards...oooooh no.

Lombardi gave Richards another shot to find his game when he didn't buy him out this past offseason, like many were hoping he would.

I don't know what's going on with Richards but he sure didn't capitalize on that second chance.

He was a big part of the Kings first Cup and still contributed in the second, but man has his game fallen off. I don't know if it's wear and tear or just Mule-itis since he has the fat contract and a couple Stanley Cups.

Likely a severe case of muleitis.

Or even Reddenoma, if you catch my drift

Buying him out last season would have been the right decision for both him and the kings

Definitely. I'm sure he wanted to stay and the Kings did too. They just wanted the version of him from a few years ago. Lombardi made a sentimental decision and it's costing him.

I'm sure some of it is Richards plays such a physical style and he's not a big guy. That's gonna take wear and tear and he's seen a lot of games in his 29 years. But it seems like it's got to be more than that for the wheels to have come off so fast.

I don't think it's a working out issue

Otherwise Lombardi would have paid him out in the summer. Something really seems of here that decline was way too fast

Almost reminds me on Morrow who's decline started at 28 and he never got his game back. Only difference Richards didn't seem to be injury prone. At this rate he will have trouble getting another contact

A big problem for the Kings is that Dustin Brown has fallen off quite a bit as well. He brings other things to the team, but not really enough to warrant the contract he has. Between him and Richards, that's a lot of overpayment.

As cnot mentioned, buying him out would've been best for both parties. The Kings would've gotten more cap relief (I think?) and he wouldn't have that contract keeping other teams from picking him up.

Isn't he known for being a bit of a party dude? maybe the LA lifestyle, especially after winning a lot might just have gotten a bit too comfortable.

He and Carter had that reputation, whether or not it was based in reality is still kind of up in the air.

I haven't heard anything about him partying too much in LA.

Reminds me of the crap the Boston media wrote about Seguin after they've traded him. He wouldn't be where he is now if he wasn't dedicated to fitness and work outs.

If Richards likes to party so what every one needs a break here and there.

If the guy gets his game back Kings will call him up as an option for the playoffs.
