amato 3,210 Report post Posted February 6, 2015 That would be sooo good.... do they do those for the stadium series games though? First time for everything I suppose, but I thought that was just the Winter Classic.
Buppy 1,720 Report post Posted February 6, 2015 I hope they don't do it. Would have none of the intensity and animosity of the rivalry. Just a bunch of old guys skating around in a friendly pretend game. No thanks.

PavelValerievichDatsyuk 1,935 Report post Posted February 6, 2015 No one wants to see bitter rivals kiss and make up. Keep it nasty and in the past. We've already seen it, though. McCarty and Lemieux giving autographs together... Osgood interviewing Roy. No one can pretend to think they're still bitter rivals. Anything that would potentially bring Fedorov back is okay by me. 1 FireCaptain reacted to this
GMRwings1983 8,789 Report post Posted February 6, 2015 This would never happen, but it would be awesome if the 2002 teams were reunited. The complete rosters for one game. The rivalry wasn't as physically heated by that time, but the hockey was the best. 1 amato reacted to this
amato 3,210 Report post Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) I guess it is happening.... Per the Denver Post, the Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings will play an alumni game during the Stadium Series festivities in February 2016. source: http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2015/02/06/blood-feud-renewed-colorado-outdoor-game-to-feature-avs-wings-alumni-tilt/ From the Denver Post: Alumni game. The next meeting of the Avalanche and Red Wings in Denver will be Feb. 27, 2016, at Coors Field in the NHL's Stadium Series. An alumni game — with details yet to be finalized — will be part of the proceedings, involving former Avs and Wings. Colorado coach Patrick Roy said Thursday he had one goal for that appearance: "Try to lose a bit of weight to make sure my mask would fit."
