twopups 19 Report post Posted February 18, 2015 I think he has a legit shot to win the Jack Adams this year as well. Like he's not going to have enough leverage already... Either way, I fully expect him back behind the Red Wings bench next season. Really, I think it will be a cold day in hell before any Wings coach wins that award. All the cups under Scotty or Babcock never did so why would you ever consider it?

All the cups under Scotty or Babcock never did so why would you ever consider it? Typically the Jack Adams award is given to the coach who's team most exceeds expectations. Scotty's team did exactly what everyone thought they would do. I don't believe there is a big conspiracy preventing a Wings coach from winning. 2 krsmith17 and kipwinger reacted to this

All the cups under Scotty or Babcock never did so why would you ever consider it? Since Babs hasn't signed, everybody has been talking about him being the best. The broadcasters and journalists are the ones who vote for the award. I think Babs has a shot because his name will be on their mind as the I've that everyone's been calling the best all season. Plus, no one thought we even had a chance at the playoffs. Last two years we were fighting for a playoff spot, and this year we're fighting for top spot in the east

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say. Sure there were those who had temper tantrums in the summer when we signed Cleary/Qunicey who made it seem like this team was doomed. But the direction to most was pretty clear. 1 krsmith17 reacted to this
Yzerfan87 146 Report post Posted February 18, 2015 I guess I should have clarified that I meant everyone in the media.
