I don't know, Quincey has been pretty good this year and D seems like he's in a bit of a sophmore slump.

What what what!? Take that back immediately! You must praise DeKeyser without ceasing. And you must, under no circumstances, praise Quincey.

The defense as a unit has been surprisingly reliable this season. Kronners I think has declined but still gets the job done, Quincey has indeed bounced back, as horrible as that tastes coming out of my mouth. XO I hope stays up for good. Smith and Biggie have their blunders but their respective roles are filled well, IMO.

Danny is need of polishing but the future is bright with him, XO, and Marchenko.

last year I started saying that Dekeyser was our best defensive defenseman. Now others have joined the bandwagon. a very nice story by the Hockey Writers.

of course I can't get the link to work......... Just go to www.thehockeywriters.com and then look up the story.......

TheHockeyWriters.com is literally fans writing blog posts for free. There is zero credible journalism going on. There's one guy who works for them that is credible, and this is not him.

I love how you framed your OP around how YOU said this, and now others agree. Classic lol

That's some solid praise. Dekeyser actually reminds me quite a bit of Lidstrom in that he plays the game with his brain above all else. He's not overly physical, he doesn't have that booming shot, he's not particularly flashy in any aspect of his game. But when he's on the ice, the puck doesn't go in the back of the net. Dekeyser is so solid at shutting down plays, particularly for it only being his second year. I (like most of us) have high hopes for his future. He could definitely become a piece to build around if he continues to grow at the rate he's been going at.
