Really? Cuz it sounds like you're the one making excuses as to why Howard shouldn't be judged by the same standard that Mrazek was while he was playing.

By the way, I have on occasion gone out of my way to say how much better Howard has been playing this season. But if you want to just ignore that and concentrate on a thread that I made with a couple funny stat categories to fit this presupposition that you have then I guess there's not much I can do about that.

Mrazek gets a break from some fans because he's our #3. He had some really bad games while being thrust into the starting role with our #1 and #2 out, and got lucky the team scored enough so he could win games. It was'nt as if he came up and had multiple shutouts and lots of games with 1 or 2 GAA. He struggled, some nights badly. But I guess as long as were winning, who cares right? lol

Howard is expected to perform, and when he does'nt, even if it's his first start in over a month, he does'nt get those breaks. It's all on him, even when the whole team sucks. When or if Mraz is the legitimate starter, it'll be like that for him too. Goalie bashing is LGW favourite pastime.

No Howard doesn't get breaks because we go from 3-1 to 5-4 and lose in a shootout. Howard wont get a break because we have lost 8 out of the 10 shootouts we have been in with him. Not saying he isn't a good goalie, he is but for people to get all mad because we get on him because of those reasons is a bit silly. If it were just here and there it would be one thing but its a trend with him especially in the shootouts, let's be honest here.

I disagree. Not every loss is disappointing. Some are outright annoying, mesmerizing, intimidating or even shocking. Additionally some can make you proud esp if an underdog is involved.

Nah, I did'nt mean for it to sound like that. He did have some great games, even had a shutout, and kept us in a good spot in the standings, which is what matters the most. Was just saying that some people seemed more inclined to give him a pass on the bad games because he is the third stringer and learning the ropes in the NHL, but they are always hard on Howard after a bad one.

It is'nt unreasonable. Was just stating a fact. Howard has been out over a month, his first game back was'nt good. Gotta give slack where its due. People love to jump on goalies around here. lol

Z also wasn't very good last year in the playoffs when he was coming back from an injury. Both inexperience and coming back from an injury are explanations (or excuses, if you want) for substandard play.
