Let's just say, this team has to sure up a lot of areas to compete with the top teams in the East head to head.

But so do the Habs, for example. Every playoff team right now scores more than they do. In fact, 21 other teams in the league score more than they do. Yet they lead the East.

I’ve never called this team a top contender this year. But they are better than most. And 4th overall in GAA after 56 games is a fair indication that they play pretty good team defence.

The Habs don't have to score as much as us, because Howard is not as good as Price. Price is the best goalie in the league right now. They also have a legit number one defenseman.

The Wings are an average team that works really hard. But at the end of the day, we haven't been great at anything the last few years. This year, we do have an ace in the hole with our powerplay. But I don't think we can ride that throughout the playoffs. Holland needs to sure up the defense or get a big, scoring winger. I don't see either of those things happening, however.
