In the words of Boromir in Fellowship of the Ring:

"Oh look, they have a cave troll."

Also, and probably more importantly, eerie how similar Kronwall's winner tonight was to Larionov's game winner in Game 3 of the 2002 Cup Final.

Good call. Just missing Dandenault jumping out of the way of the shot.

I had to take off after Dallas' 6th goal, missed the rest of the game. I can't believe we ended up winning this one in OT 7-6. Insane. How did Monster play? He obv kept them off the board. Maybe he gets the next start? LGW!!

EDIT- Just checked the scoring summary and I see Monster only faced two shots. lol

Malik summed it up for me: "The Detroit Red Wings' 7-6 win over the Dallas Stars was wild, woolly, insanely bipolar and completely, totally unnecessary should the Wings have even marginally showed up mentally."

LOL Pretty much.

Probably the best (not prettiest) win of the season. Mostly because they showed they are never down and out no matter the odds. They kept rallying time and time again.

So did Dallas though. Were lucky we got 2 points out of that mess. lol Just need to smarten up. Lots of the Dallas goals were preventable,

I'm just gonna say it. Yes Kindl needs to show a vast improvement in consistency but if he does and keeps the offense I'll learn to accept his defensive gaffes. I'm definitely not convinced from one game where he was desperate to produce which may go away and take his offense with him

Great comeback win. I just watched the highlights of the third and OT. My cable started acting up and took my net with it so I ended up watching a movie with my wife. Hopefully Zetterberg is OK. Kindl scoring two was a nice surprise, and I believe Marchenko's helper was his first NHL point.

From http://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/en/recap?id=2014020881

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the Red Wings are the first team to trail by two goals in the third period, tie the game, fall behind again by two goals and come back to win since the Toronto Maple Leafs did it against the Ottawa Senators on Jan. 16, 1934.
