How much longer do we have to put up with this poor excuse for a goalie? Relax. Those first two were straight atrocious. Cant do much on the third since Kronners ass was in his face which seems to be becoming a trend. Datsyuk was a man among boys tonight. Still 5 of 6 pts halfway through the toughest trip of the season. Will take it. He gave up 2 weak goals to get Anaheim back in the game, and didn't stop a shot in the shootout. Loss is on him, he'll bounce back, but tonight no question why we didn't get two points. Howard deserved every bit of a regulation loss and his team bailed him out to take it to OT after he single-handedly threw away the two goal lead. If we as fans are more comfortable and confident with someone else in net imagine how the players feel, they work their asses off only to lose a game they deserve to win while we just spectate. But to say with another goalie the Wings would have won all those shootouts is just flat wrong. People forget that the Wings are one of the worst teams at converting there shots in the league. It's the same under USA Hockey, Hockey Canada, NCAA, Juniors, etc I just personally feel it is silly to allow a player who JUST took a penalty to participate and possibly win the game for his team. It would be analagous to wiping penalties after regulation and letting everyone back in for overtime. But then again the shootout is f*cking retarded to begin with, no reason to have any consistency in the rules when you're already tarnishing the integrity and spirit of the game night in and night out. #firebettman #firehoward Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
