kipwinger 8,518 Report post Posted February 25, 2015 I don't get the Petry love. Is it just because he's right handed hand his dad played for the '84 Tigers? Because he's not that good. Yeah, I'm really in the same boat here. Now, admittedly, I haven't seen a ton of the guy, but I just don't see him being much more than a right handed Smith. I've heard him described as everything from "much better than he looks" to "much worse than he looks". But to me, the biggest thing is, he doesn't score. He has no offense whatsoever. Why bother "upgrading" the defense if you're not getting more offensive potential? We're already super good at stifling shots and playing defensive defense. That's not really a need for us.
