Long as the player(s) they pick up are UFA. If not, they'd have to do some scrambling before next season to get Kane back in and be under the cap. Plus either way they lose whatever assets they gave up to fetch those guys. I guess it could be worth it for a shot at another cup, especially if Kane gets back while they're still playing...

Yeah I was definitely thinking UFA(s).. and they'd have to give up some assets. So it'd definitely be a bit of a gamble. Depends on how they feel about their shot at the cup this year I suppose.

Not sure why Roenick even went off on this. Harmless push and Kane loses an edge and goes into the boards. And of course Roenick is saying that the Hawks needs to retaliate for the "non call". I hope to God that he never puts on the stripes and tries to ref a game.

Eddie O is just the worst.

Never like seeing players get hurt, even ones I can't stand. That being said, now that he's out, I wish the Hawks nothing but losses from here on out. They've been unimpressive this year anyway, I definitely don't think they do much without Kane.
