I think there's a chance. We'll be in on Petry till the price goes to high, I think we'll be in on Zidlicky too, and if Toronto will take money back probably Dino as well. There's definitely reason to watch tomorrow to see if Kenny goes for it.

Zidlicky I like, Petry I'm just not big on. I also think there will be some new names we haven't heard about yet, traded tomorrow.

He has more goals than anyone our team except Dats, Goose, and Tats. He'll fit in nicely beside either Z or D. He was playing on Spezza's wing on their top line.

Please point out where I said that in my post. However last year it was the exact same thing when they traded Jarnkrok, you were angry about that as well stating how great he was going to be. Do you want to stay mediocre forever while we hope Backman comes back and Janmark hopefully become an elite center behind Larkin, AA, Sheahan... we can't keep everyone. Cole makes a better team right now. If Helm misses a lot of time who will replace him? Cole is still pretty quick. Yea, 33 points in 57 games isn't too bad either.

Cole is the kind of guy you win with in the playoffs. We got him for next to nothing (aka a player that ran back to Sweden and a guy who was never making this team due to being too far back on the depth chart.)

Cole is still fast, his skating is most likely his best asset, not helm fast, but he's fast.

Janmark would probably never play for us, and even if he did, I've never seen or read anything that puts his ceiling above a 3rd liner. The chances Backman ever played a game for us or even for the griffins was minimal.

The second round pick we gave up hurts a little, but if he gets hurt or we don't make the ECF we get a third rounder.

This doesn't sound like a bad deal at all.
