Maybe guy is a huge fan of country music?

She got placed their in witness protection for her cooperation in bringing down a pay for butt pat scheme.

She was the ringleader, but she folded on someone.

Living in Minnesota and driving a manual you do learn very very fast. Although we have been lucky this year with the snow. Out east has had by far more snow then us all year. It's suppose to be around 50 this weekend though haha

Were about to get up in the mid 40s this coming week, but we got dumped on pretty good a while ago. I posted a picture of the snow drift against my house in the water cooler...

But we got rain on top of that last week, then it refroze. Its beautiful.

This is off my porch, which is about 5' high.

I tried to get a picture of it refreezing since it rained, but they don't come out too well.

I live in D.C., and we got dumped on today (by southern standards). About six inches of snow in a few hours. I was the only person in my neighborhood outside enjoying the weather. It was a blast. I miss Michigan for a ton of reasons, but the snow is the biggest. We get this kind of snowfall a couple of times a year and it's always a treat for a handful of Northerners.

I like going out before the snow plows come through and slide around the neighborhood, pretend I'm in Tokyo drift.

Ha.

I love being out in bad weather, no cars on the road, no people to deal with... its calming, every time I think about leaving Michigan I get one of those moments and remember I'm a lifer.

I do wish we had more severe storms in the summer...

Not tornado alley type storms, Cuz that'd be hell.

Like heat lightning storms in Tampa.

Or the dry heat lightning out west.

my parents drive me,yes,i know that they aren't gonna be around forever, but i'm really scared about learning how to drive again,i passed driver ed,because it is a requirement at my school in order to graduate, when i was in school i took the written test and passed it and in the summer after graduation,i had to the road test

You just gotta stay calm, and I guarantee you'll do fine... Edited by jimmyemeryhunter

I honestly believe that somebody made a deal with aliens to abduct the actual preds had been winning all season and replace these guys that have been losing 5 games in a row.:alien2:

Don't worry, I'm fairly certain every year the wings won the cup they had a 5-7 game losing streak during the regular season. The adversity better prepares you for the playoffs.

How the hell else was I gonna get that sweet deal?

Also, *there

Also, kip, it's complicated. There're a lot of things I love here. There're also a lot of things I despise. I want to move closer to MI, but it's not in the cards right now. /seriousness

Hell froze over and the Preds became good. Now Nashville freezes over and the Preds suck as they always should have. It just feels right.

Congrats to the Preds on almost becoming relevant. Next up: 1st round exit and 12k fans at Bridgestone next season.

They won't suck forever, the losing has to end sometime.every team in the NHL goes through a losing at some point during the season, the preds are hitting theirs right not,but that dosen't mean that they suck Edited by PredsFanTheBayouState

Having lived in Michigan until a year ago when I headed down south, I can't help but laugh at how people get so worked up about a little snow. But at this point, I'm terrified of the roads down here now too. It's not the snow though, it's the idiots who have no idea how to drive in it and assume they can tear through traffic as usual because they're in a pickup truck. Ridiculousness all around. I miss the north...

Living in TN, I get to see a lot of Preds games here broadcasted locally, they are a strong squad, control games, and have the tools to go deep in the playoffs.

I know it's tough for this being a Wings fan site to have a strong opinion of another team that you may or may not watch too often, but they built their team the right way and I think they can contend and go pretty deep.

I also don't hate the trades they did make, I think the inevitable regular season losing skid came at the wrong time with the addition of their two new players, but long term, both will contribute in their own way. Santorelli was relatively strong on a weak Toronto squad, and Franson is a guy we would have liked to see here.

I'll boldly predict conference finals. I also don't feel they are THE best team in the league, but I also don't rule them out of a potential conference final in the playoffs this season. They are better than some people here are giving them credit for. These games the Wings play against teams and seem to be lopsided, putting us on our heels, the Preds have done that against a lot of teams in a lot of games this year, good teams among lesser squads as well. They can dominate and control a game pretty firmly, and it happened without Rinne between the pipes also.

With failing teams in the South like Phoenix, I like to see Nashville thriving, competing, and attracting fans. It's good for the sport.

I was shocked to see that preds won last night and ended their 6 game losing streak, more surprised that it was james Neal that scored the OT winning goal for the preds

Fell asleep in the middle of the third it was still 1-1

Laviolette has a short shelf life so maybe the honey moon phase is over? But I still think the Predators are having a ton of potential with that defense and Rinne.

Oh I realize that. Just saying it's not the end of the world some places who aren't used to snow make it out to be. Seen cities fully shut down for only a few inches of snow. Some people do get scared driving in those conditions though, even up here. But if your confident enough, should'nt be a problem at all.

It's not just the people though. For one, places that don't get snow often usually deal with more ice. Ice is much more dangerous than snow. Secondly, the cities are not equipped to deal with it. No salt trucks, etc. People also don't have winter tires in the South. Northerners just like to think they are superior for some reason. Not to mention I've been in Michigan in winter, nobody could drive in snow there either.
