Mrazek has a great Glove he would've allowed one of those goals tonight, and even so the boys probably would've had 50 shots, but Jimmy is no rookie and this isn't the first game he wore his ass on his face this season look man I love the wings and I agree we don't have the best D but I think it's on par with Montreal Jimmy Howard is getting paid like an elite goalie yet he's mediocre in the shootout and always blows our leads quick, all I'm saying is he needs to step up his game or we need to unload that contract I wouldn't be as mad if he was making 4 mil

Howard couldn't get us past the 2nd round with Lidstrom, Rafalski, Stuart and Kronwall(when he was actually laying dudes the hell out on a nightly basis). He certainly won't get us past the 2nd round with a Kronwall that seems lost in the #1 role now, Smith, Ericsson(who plays a hell of a lot smaller than he is), Dekeyser and Quincey.

In fact I have, both of which don't mean jack s*** when it comes down to "W" or "L". Those are the only stats I care about.

Oh yeah, and your theory is sound...

I said the theory was just as garbage as the previous one. Try reading.

A "W"is a hell of a lot easier for a goaltender to obtain with solid goal support, which is accomplished by the rest of the team and Mrazek has had more of this season. And a "L" is a hell of a lot more difficult to avoid with a lack of goal support, which Howard has gotten more of.

Putting this loss solely on Howard and insinuating that Mrazek would have won this game is completely ridiculous. The team as a whole was terrible and earned the loss.

WIIM pointed out... Ericsson had 2 shifts in the 3rd, and Andersson didn't have a single shift. So.... PROGESS! (Ericsson will play 20 mins saturday and Weiss will remain scratched for Andersson)

I'm starting to question Jimmy's preparation for games, you have to be focused every game not just against New York and Chicago.... I'm not impressed by flashes I'm impressed by consistency and Mrazek won games consistently, Jimmy blew a two goal lead to Calgary then let.

When you were typing it, was your mind blown? Because it's incredible to me that this team is so dependent on one player, especially if it's Helm.

sure was I mean it might have to do with the deadline too its sad but ever since the trades we haven't done s*** except beat a team we for sure needed to beat in edm

I read just fine, thank you. I'm just as bummed as you are over the loss but I'm not going to bite dude so take your frustration out elsewhere. We're both fans of the same team.

I never blamed this loss on Howard, I blame our defense and lack of offense more than our goaltender. That doesn't mean I don't think the goals he lets in aren't soft. This team and us fans deserve better, is that garbage too?

I like Howard, and I hope he plays well every game, but he is just too inconsistant. He's shown he can be up there with the elite, and he's shown he can be bottom of the barrel. He sucks at moving the puck and in one on one situations, and is prone to very soft goals. Not good qualities in a $5 million dollar starting goalie. I just don't think he's the kind of goalie we'll win a cup with.

Lol no. I guess I just wasn't clear. I was originally trying to give a poor example (on purpose). Apparently it did not come across that way.

I will say, though, that I blame the poor defense more so than I do Howard for the goals scored against Detroit tonight. I feel that Howard was put into positions that he should not have been put in on at least 2 out of three. Obviously not one of Howard's best games, but he is not the first place I would go if I were to divvy out blame.

Mrazek gave up three goals on seven shots to Buffalo. You are just spot-picking your points to fit your agenda.

I really don't have that big of a problem with Jimmys performance tonight. All our shutdown guys were awful. Bottom 6 Is only good for taking penalties and Goals against. 4th line is supposed to be our defensive specialists and our PK sucks and they get penned in their own zone every shift. No reason for them to be in the lineup

That's why he's not one of the elite. The elite are consistent. He isn't.
