After stealing a win against the Blues by stopping 41 of 42 shots in St. Louis, Dubnyk improved his stats in a Wild uniform to a 1.66 Goals Against Average and a .939 Save%. And not only has the success been merely individual, as you know, the Minnesota Wild have benefitted wildly from Dubnyk's play, leading them to a 20-5-2 record over that span.

I know the article is from a Wild fan site, but Dubnyk has been insanely good since arriving in Minny. Those are great numbers. If he continues on that path, could he be a Hart candidate? What do you all think?

. I don't think Dubnyk would win the Hart either, but he could def be a candidate for it. Amazing turnaround either way. Going from being a goalie that nobody wanted to saving the Wild's season with a 1.66 GAA and .939 save% and 20-5-2 in 27 games. Good for him.

They were talking during one of the Wild games about him being a Vezina candidate, and I have to admit that my first thought was, "No way, but maybe the Hart."

He's been unreal, but more importantly, the team trusts him, so they are playing better. That's pretty much what the Hart is all about- most valuable to his team.

He's been an incredibly nice story, but there is absolutely no chance whatsoever he wins the Hart or likely any other hardware.

When you combine his first half of the season to his second half Carey Price leads him in every category.

Still he's resurrected his career in a contract year, hats off to him for the payday he'll receive.

Personally I think he's playing above his head similar to what Craig Anderson did with Ottawa, I have my doubts he'll repeat those numbers again in his career.

Last year he was struggling to be a backup on a crappy Nashville team (I realize they had injuries). This year he is being spoken about in Hart & Vezina talk. He wont win because of Price, but either way....truly remarkable!

If he had this in him, wow is this another black eye on Edmonton.

Add Hammond to Vezina if he makes the minimum games required. The guy is like 11-0-1, who would have ever thought that the Sens would dig themselves out of the disaster start to this season?

I'm wondering if a correlation between it and MacLean leaving is going to be made. It sure seems like it's more Hammond than anything else

Hammond will get 0 consideration for any awards. Maybe not 0 as you often do have silly voters, but 0% chance he'll end up as a finalist for anything. His stats are gaudy right now, but very small sample size. He's played 12.5 games.

Agree with what others have said about Dubnyk, I don't think he has any chance at the Hart or Vezina. Probably a finalist for Vezina, but not Hart. I think Theodore and Hasek are the only goalies that have won the Hart in the past 50+ years (I could be wrong)....it's so rare for a goalie to win. Plus, when they won, it was during a very low period of scoring in league history, so less big stars putting up big numbers which would get consideration.....now, if there is a year, this might be it since scoring is pitiful. We may see the leading scorer have below 90pts.

Anyway, he can't win anything because of Price, as someone mentioned, he leads in every category over Dubnyk. Games played is an important one too, he may play close to 60 games, which is fine, but Price will likely be closer to 70.

He was also the fourth string goalie in Montreal to end last season behind Price, Budaj, and Tokarski. Def a huge turnaround.

Yeah, kinda looks dumb on the Oilers, but he was'nt doing well there, and they tried to shake things up. Right change of scenery works wonders I guess.
