Lousy. At least Howard looked good. He needs to string a few more starts like this together now and get some momentum going. And the way we're scoring lately, goaltending is going to have to be top notch if we're going to get some wins. Please come back next game, Datsyuk

This is some serious reeling right now. Nothing is going well for the Wings. No home ice for sure, but they gotta turn this around real quick or it won't matter who and where they play.

Babs not moving Helm back to center is just stupid. Using Andersson on the third line in a scoring slump is ridiculous.

Nyquist should be ashamed of himself. Horrible turnover and is too busy diving shamelessly in the final minutes to try and make any impact

He ran out of gas in last year's playoffs too. He needs to get tougher on the puck like Datsyuk and Zetterberg did as their careers went on. Right now, he's a vanilla midget who is getting pushed around all game.

And the Florida ownage continues, as expected. Might as well give the spot to Florida or Ottawa. They're better equipped for the playoffs than the Wings are. Miss the playoffs to get a better pick. They're just going to get embarrassed in the first round anyway.

You would be the first to let us know, I'm sure.

This whole team keeps stumbling into the playoffs. Its embarrassing.

tampa dominated that third period. we could barely get out of our end for the first 10 minutes.

i just can't believe how bad our defenseman actually are at moving the puck. with this s***ass D it's almost like you have to play mrazek so he can move the puck for them.

That Nyquist dive is embarrasing to watch. He's been fined already, more coming.

To the game, when you guys look at our forward lineup, do you say "I think were scoring some goals tonight"? I don't. Mike needs to get over his obsession with playing scrubs. We need to start scoring some goals. Of all the playoff teams, we have the least amount of 5on5 goals. Can't rely on the PP so much and expect to win.

It was depressing to see how easy the Lightning forwards sustained a forecheck tonight and the Wings forwards just all looked so small and slow in comparison. Usually the Wings skate pretty well as a group, but their lack of size is painfully obvious. Same issue as last season in the Boston series.

Yes. Get rid of Kronwall. Genuis!!

Haha well I think our scouts that everyone loves to praise could find someone better and someone that actually tries

It is pretty noticeable. The worst thing for me re:forecheck, is that we have some guys who can lay the body but don't. Unlike Boston where we just couldn't break the defensive wall or get to the inside to create offense, I think a series against Tampa Bay will be more back and fourth and based on goaltending, and less of us getting pounded. I think we'll create more offense against Tampa, but can we beat Bishop consistenly? MFer is 7-0-1 against us in his career with "stands on his head" numbers. This team might be like the old finals teams and have a switch waiting to be flipped, but I'll believe that when I see it.

Also, if anyone really wants to panic: Boston is 4 back and we play them coming up, and Ottawa is 6 back and we play them coming up. (duh duh duh :ninja: )

i love tatar but i'm starting to think nyquist is the expendable one. package him for a puck moving right handed d man.

andersson can suck a dick, move weiss if you're not going to play him. just no skill on this team and not big enough to play a different style.

it's crazy to think where we were and where we are now. the deadline has destroyed us somehow.

Our top D pairing is now a combined minus -12 on the year

this is not good

because they combined with howard's inability to move a puck are a terrible combination. they are constantly flustered. i still can't get over how many times we have control in our zone and can't make one single pass to gain the zone. we are sooooo bad at breakouts. our first pass kills us and any offense we have a chance at.
