Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted March 25, 2015 Well, he's consistently inconsistent... We had much better team defense earlier in the year and Howard was sharper. The combination made both parties look better than they are. Now team defense isn't so solid and Howard's not as sharp, and both parties are looking worse than they are. It's tough to argue that Howard hasn't been weak down the stretch, but the team around him hasn't been good either. Howard's making top 10 money so you expect more out of him than you can from some of our other guys, but it doesn't change the fact that he really isn't getting much help right now. Howard, like everyone else on this team right now, needs to get sharper fast, or it'll be another quick playoff exit. I agree about the defense thing. They've been brutal, DeKeyser is having a really rough stretch the last 10 games or so, E and Smith, well.... it's a bad comparison, but I hate seeing a s***ty team like Montreal doing amazing because of 1 player. If not for Price, their not a playoff team. I don't ever expect Howard to play like Price, but I know he's better than he's been in the second half. That's my only beef. Anyway Doan trying to run Nyquist at the end of the 3rd is a perfect example of the reason I don't like him. I mean, there are instances of it happening. Especially since there's this vocal consensus here that Mrazek is ready and will magically turn around the team's fortunes. Maybe people like to oh I don't know, Watch The Game while it's on?? Is that unreasonable? People watch, then post their comments after? s***, do you get mad at people for not giving their opinion every five minutes of a movie instead of just watching it and then discussing it after it is done?
