GoWings! 179 Report post Posted April 3, 2015 Defense sucks and as usual Mrazek keeps giving up bad goals in the 3rd but this blame is on Babcock. This team played like a bunch of scared children once the game was tied. They lost their composure and Babcock stands there showing no emotion or any type of urgency with this friggin season on the line and can we work on this too many men on the ice garbage? That's an absurd penalty in so many of these big games. What is up with the coaching. How hard is it to hop on the ice after the guy who is supposed to come off, comes off? I think it's absolutely hysterical anyone thinks Mrazek should be our #1 Did you hear the announcers quote the stat that Wings were 24 and 0 and something in games they go into Third with lead? That sounds like the exact opposite of what you are claiming. Now, I will admit that them spouting that stat jinxed us...just like the whole not losing 2 consecutive games all season streak that jinxed us and started this downward slide. Petr saved their ass all game long, Q took a dumb ass, albeit soft, penalty and then s*** the ice on the 2nd goal. I agree the 3rd was soft, but if not for Q, that goal wouldn't matter. are we gonna see a team that was tied for 1st overall in Feb, fall out of the playoffs? In my opinion, Dats and Cole better have lost a limb before they miss next game! This was the biggest game of the year and a ******* hangnail kept them out of the lineup! Zetterberg has basically been invisible, and I want to be able to blame it on him being tired, or some small nagging injury(hopefully unrelated to his back) As I said in another thread, when Zetterberg plays like crap, people always blame it on his back injury. When he plays well, the back is miraculously cured. He has too much immunity here. He's playing uninspired and doing a poor job of leading by example. They just look very fragile when things start going against them. Had a ton of confidence and then lost it in the third. Howard needs to start on Saturday, though. Let alone late in the 3rd period of a tie game at the end of the season with playoff implications. The whole of this loss is on Petr Mrazek, in my opinion.
