WCQF : (7) Winnipeg Jets vs. (1) Anaheim Ducks

This is why I wanted LA in the playoffs. They could have had another classic series against their rivals and would have made the playoffs interesting since nobody wanted to play them.

Instead of the defending champs, we got stuck with this no-name team from the North Pole that nobody should care about.

These Jets are repackaged Thrashers....just keep that in mind while they continually disappoint.

I'll never forget their "Ultimate Warrior" logo.

This year's version of the Kings would not be much more of a fight for Anaheim. They ran out of gas against Edmonton down the stretch. Anaheim is playing possessed, down in the 3rd but find that extra gear to will the win. I wish our Wings had 1/2 of that heart and soul.

Not to take anything away from Anaheim, they're playing solid hockey, but it seems like Winnipeg has completely lost sight of the fact that hitting (by itself) doesn't win games. They're running around smashing Anaheim at every opportunity, but they don't seem to be doing much else.

It's a classic case of tactics becoming strategy. You don't get points for hitting. You get points for scoring. You can use hitting to make scoring easier, or you can run around like idiots and completely forget about making plays. Winnipeg is doing the latter.

The jets are not that good honestly. Them and Sens don't belong here and it shows.

I think the Jets ARE that good, I just think their goaltending is suspect. Pavelec is like Howard, when he's on he's pretty good, but he's off way too often. He doesn't seem to be able to make the big stops that the team needs so far in his career.
