ECQF : (7) Sénateurs d'Ottawa vs. (2) Les Canadiens de Montréal

Subban definitely needs to get his act together. I don't think he should've been tossed but that was a stupid play. If you're gonna key on a guy and give him a few whacks, at least do it in a net front battle or corner.

I'm guessing the directive from the coaches was to key on Stone, and Subban took it a little too much to heart.

Agreed, it was a very stupid play. It also was so obvious since it was right in front of the ref. Not sure what he was thinking.

I hope Subban absolutely dominates the remainder of this series. Also, lost in all the shenanigans last night was the fact that a Montreal team without Subban AND Pacioretty absolutely dominated the Sens. The only way Ottawa stays in this series is if Montreal lets them hang around by being undisciplined. If they keep their heads, Montreal runs away with this one.

Mark Stone's status "unknown" after being diagnosed with a "microfracture" in his wrist, according to Katie "My Lady" Strang.

Patrice Bergeron plays with a separated shoulder and a collapsed lung and Stone might not play with a "microfracture"? Either this is all theater or Mark Stone is weak as hell.

Edit: Yeah, I thought so. f*** off Mark Stone.

"Bruins assistant captain Patrice Bergeron was released Wednesday from the hospital, where he had been since the end of Monday's Game 6 with a small puncture in his lung.

Bergeron is also suffering from a cracked rib, torn rib cartilage and a separated shoulder. It is unclear how and when the punctured lung occurred."

I chose Mtl to win but still, that was a BS play by Subban. So he doesn't break any bones but fractures something, Stone will play but assume he won't be the same ... he wasn't the rest of the game and effectively, Subban has taken out their best player.

Here, I think we apply an eye for an eye, ref takes Stone and Subban to center ice and let Stone has one free whack at Subban anywhere he likes ... then continue with game.

Some interesting claims by Murray but the Sens have zero credibility on this right now after their coach's comments. They're lobbying (and threatening) the league hard after the incident.

Murray says disturbing part for him is that he says Subban made a threat to Stone previous to the incident

Murray says Stone is ''very questionable for the series.''

If the "threat" is true at all I'm guessing it was Subban saying he'd be coming after him or a fairly typical playoff chirp. I doubt he said "I'm gonna break your hand with a slash."

Wouldn't suprise me to see Suban get cheap shotted. Would love to see it too. Reacted like a little punk

People have been coming after Subban forever. Keep trying. Anybody remember the Boston series last year? They targeted him in every way possible. The result? He almost nearly won the series by himself.

Didn't he have two assists last night?

Maybe, just maybe, Ottawa's playing with fire here. I mean, do you really want to make this series the "PK Subban Show"? Seems like that's exactly the kind of situation he thrives in.

Yah, as much as I want vigilante justice to be exacted on PUNK Subban, that's exactly what he wants Sens to do, be fixated on revenge, chasing him around the ice, running him, etc. and lose focus on game.

Let it go ... winning game 2 is the best revenge.

Watch, these dummies will come out runnin' next game, put Montreal on the powerplay for 60 minutes, and hand them a 2-0 series lead. Hell Ottawa is already thinking about playing Chris Neill. No doubt to get a little retribution. They're going to be so fixated on Subban that they'll dig themselves in a hole.

And the worst part? He'll get the powerplay goals. Because he's not easy to intimidate. And he's really good.

Again, your goal should be to minimize Subban's impact on the game. Not put him under the spot light.

Senators just converted me to a Canadians fan in the last day. So much whining and pathetic, desperate lobbying. It was a dumb play, sure, but it just wasn't even as remotely vicious as the Sens are making it out to be. Not even close. The way the organization has reacted is just completely obnoxious. If you're so pissed, answer on the ice, quit whining to the press and making utterly absurd threats.

Subban is a punk that needs to be put down period. He gets away with way too much.

Kip the love that you show for a cheap shot artist like Subban has me a bit confused when we all know you hate fighting and hitting so much. I really don't get it. I think Neal should go out there and at take Subban out for the rest of the series.

What were you saying when Drapes got taken out by Detroit Enemy #1?

Anybody remember this? Not sure Ottawa has a leg to stand on here. Quit acting like a bunch of ******* and play hockey.

Looks like a hit to someone who dropped their head down....Doesn't compare at all to all the slashes, crosschecks, slew foots that Subban has gotten away with.

Since when do I hate hitting?

I'll assume that this ridiculous claim is being made in an attempt to bait me into some asinine conversation about something or other.

As for your suggestion that Neill should target Subban. I think Ottawa AND Montreal agree with you. All parties involved really want that to happen. So I hope they do it. That way I can laugh when it backfires.

Finish every check, cross check him when the refs aren't looking, do some face washes and punch those French fries out of the series. If they want to play that game, Ottawa has the tools to do it..call up Kassian and do what The Leafs have done a few years back...Subban, Eller and Galchenyuk are such a n embarrassing bunch.

Ottawa will win the next game and then crush those French fries at home

Mad respect to Dave Cameron for standing up and speaking out, I'd be pissed off too over the Stone injury. I hope the Sens make it painful.

He's as big of an idiot as Subban for threatening both the league and the Habs, especially in the post Bertuzzi-incident NHL.

Let the players handle it on the ice.

Agreed. An eye for an eye is so prevalent in our society. It wasn't like Subban was trying to injure him. The right call was made on the ice to give him 5 and a game. Now, if the Sens players want to do something in retaliation, they better be ready to pay the price for it. You know the refs will be watching and the penalties will be dealt out quickly.

The coaching staff should have just kept their mouths shut about it and just let the series play out. Yes, Cameron is upset that he lost one of his better players. I get it. When Draper had his face crushed against the boards by Claude, Bowman didn't promise retribution or threaten. He let his players handle it, and they did. It took a few months, but it did happen.

Wow those are unprofessional and cringe-worthy comments from Dave Cameron, a coach in the NHL.

I haven't heard if he's been fined or punished in anyway, but I'd be surprised if he wasn't.

Regardless of what it means for the series, if anything happens to a Habs player it exposes the league to potential lawsuits after what went down with Bertuzzi.

They didn't fine him, but apparently the league called both the Habs and the Sens and issued warnings to each teams' management.
