I'm fine with not getting power plays for penalties that don't exist, or aren't deserved. ...but on the other hand you should get the benefit of the doubt when it's simply following through on a shot. Not an actual high sticking penalty.

I get that, but if one team possesses the puck to point where they have 30 more shots than the other, tired people playing defense clutch and grab and hook and whatnot. One feeds the other.
