It's really weird. It's ok to have some schadenfreude, but not at the expense of a guy who represents your team. What has he really done that makes people hate him so much? The guy had a terrible season, sure. But he responded by getting in excellent shape and playing at an all star level until he got injured. He then lost his starting job to a third stringer. If anything, the guy deserves pity.

Agree. I think Mrazek is locking down the starter role right now moving forward, and I think it's very possible that Howard could get moved this summer. But there's no bad guys here. Howard isn't a terrible goalie. He's not an *******. We're just lucky to have a guy like Mrazek coming up who's pretty damn good, and he's making the most of this huge opportunity. It's a rough deal for Howard. I'm happy for Mrazek, I think he's proving why he's the future starter for this team. But I genuinely feel bad for Howard. Again, he's a good goalie who's had some tough luck. If we move him, I wish him all the best.

He's playoff hockey personified. I'm so glad he was able to get past those injuries and become a regular in the lineup again.

Red Wings played big today, they used their body when needed. Some of the penalties against them was ridiculous but regardless of that what we saw today was potential. Tampa got ran over physically and the credit goes to each Wings player. I say play the same style of grit game 4 and maintain the smooth flow and setups (take more shots tho). I thought the powerplay looked strong. The powerplay is definitely something we have an advantage of and I think can capitalize well on in the coming game. I think it was a smart decision this year to split D and Z on powerplay, both units are very good.

Things I think that can clutch this series for us:

1. Mrazek

2. Man defense/grit

3. Pass, pass shoot. (not pas pas pass pass)

4. Effort from each player like it's do or die. (what we saw today).

5. Faceoffs. Defensive zone ones especially. Helps out our already weak defense and prevents them from making errors they are prone to.

6. The fans.

I think it's a little early to be thinking about Montreal, this series is far from over. It could easily be 2-1 for the bolts in this series considering how the Wings played in the first two games.

I just watched Coopers press conference. He was claiming that the game depended on a lucky bounce we got on the Datsyuk goal and they on the other side didn't get, calling it a "game of inches". If thats the message he is sending into the Bolts locker room good for us, because they will loose the series then. While we certainly had our fair share of luck yesterday, but we also outplayed and outworked them. It sounds like he is a little too sure of his team, let's hope they have to pay for it.

Agreed, the Lightning hit several posts and missed one or two open nets that I recall. Game could've gone either way, but if we continue to play like we did today, at least we give ourselves a chance to win each game.
