Predictions: Game 7 vs. TBL

With Kronner probably out I just can't see them winning. Teams that blow elimination games at home usually don't recover. They also have not shut up about Stamkos not scoring so I expect at least a goal from him. Let's say 3-1 Tampa with only Mrazek keeping it from getting stupid. Damn shame we won't get that Original Six matchup.

Everybody talks about the whole Stamkos thing and how he's due, which is a fair point. But you know who else is due for a big game? Zetterberg. Our captain may not have looked great this series and frankly to me looks like he's playing hurt, but he always finds a way to be clutch.

Oh come on Rick. You talk about hockey - you know the game - give us some real thoughts, please.

Real thoughts. It will take either some really bad luck, or an incredible effort from Tampa to end Detroit's season tomorrow. Babcock will have a plan, the structure will be in place and all the heat is on Tampa. 4-2 Wings.

I really think the Wings are going to come out on top in this game. I think the x-factors are coaching and leadership, something the Wings have a lot of. At the same time though, Tampa is a monster of a team and has a ton of skill. Its going to be a whale of a game for sure.

I share us in winning, though I think the heat is on us. Since we had the series lead. Why do you have it the other way?

Tampa is gonna have alot of pressure. Home ice in a game 7. If they lose they are gonna be considered playoff chokers like St. Louis and San Jose, promising regular season only to falter in the playoffs. If Babcock is as good as we believe, we win. I didn't think we had any chance in this series. Here we are game 7 when we were suppose to be swept or lose in 5. As this series went on I started to look at it like the Ducks series, losing some bad home games only to pull off a game 7 win back then( 2 years ago I believe) . I see the same thing in this series. I believe that the Wings will win. I really wanna win to see how Mrazek handles games against Montreal. But we gotta get there first. I'm damn proud of this team for hanging with the Lightning. Go Wings!

I don't feel too optimistic sadly. Wings played there best hockey of the year since Game 3 and laid a stinker in a pivotal Game 6 at home. This team has been up and down all year, one bad game has usually lead to more. Proud of the team regardless.

I don't think much of Tampa's style of play and their desire to win so I don't see them going to the SCF. They were pretty much only able to score on us whenever we made dumb mistakes. They don't work hard defensively and turnover the puck more than us shockingly.

Going forward, this team has a lot of depth scorers but I don't think Dats and Z are able to carry us effectively anymore. We really need a consistent 30-40 goal scoring winger and a good top 4. Our young guys are good NHLers officially, but we need high end talent. Or we could keep coasting until Mantha, Larkin and Sproul are ready, which I think is Holland's plan unless some can't miss opportunity falls on his lap

Same here and play DeKeyser 35 minutes.

Those pairings are really bad, though. The Wings are going to need at least three to win.

This also puts a ton of pressure on our forwards they need to backcheck even harder now it's such bu lls*** I was looking forward to game 7 and now I might not even watch it because the outcome has been decided by external factors.

Before Kronwall's suspension, I thought it'd boil down to mistakes. I still largely believe that, but our offense is going to have to pick up some slack now. I still think it's absolutely a winnable game, and TB really doesn't have much to celebrate or build on in regards to their play in this series. It's going to be all the tougher now, but it's doable. But we need to minimize mistakes and get offense. If we make mistakes and don't score more than two goals, we are done. So let's hope we find our own justice tomorrow and get the win.
