Yeah and we let them off the hook in game 4. Bishop took 2 penalties and scored on himself, and we let them off the hook...ugh. Imagine if we had won that game. Then there's no Tampa comeback, there's no 'feeling better about ourselves', nothing. We probably win in 6 worst case.

Well it's been a fun season. Lots of ups and downs, great series. Kronwall suspension hurt us bad I think. Babs needs to be gone and some new players brought in. Time to catch a flight to Tampa and poop on the stairs

I have all summer to be mad about the outcome and flaws of the team. Right now I'm just so bummed I don't get to watch the Red Wings anymore. Still stings every year getting eliminated. Love these guys regardless.

A Montreal vs. Detroit series would have been awesome and fun for the league. Then again, the league doesn't like fun anymore. No scoring, no hitting and no fighting. No ratings either. Nobody gives a s*** about Tampa vs. Montreal.

I still can't believe they let that jackass punch Z in the head. You can tell it really affected him. Again this year injuries derail this team. This time it was to the goalie, the captain and abdelkader, who was playing awesome until that hand injury. Franzen was even playing good hockey, and our trade assets both not in this game. I'm sure datsyuk was broken too, his knees are about done like yzerman and chelios.

To the mods....apologies for calling people Morons. But it was a general post rather than a specific one, and I think its less offensive than the borderline casual racism that permeates these boards when the team loses.

I'll watch my conduct in future, but other posters should remember that DRW has a global fan base, who have to spend twice us much getting any merch and stay up until the early hours to see the team.

They should also remember that without European players this team would still be pining for the 50s.

Here's the thing about Nyquist and Tatar. Yes, we need to be patient. But we have to be realistic as well and not rely on them. As of right now, we know neither one is a playoff performer. Therefore, when building this team, Holland needs to make sure we have two goal scorers (ideally) who we can rely on to replace them. Dat depth, tho.

Defense was actually a bright spot tonight. I have no issues with any of the players tonight. But over the whole season? Ericsson needs to be a #4 again. Kindl and probably Smith need to go. They are simply too inconsistent. But I'm tired of the offense disappearing by taking one-and-done-shots. I'm tired of...well...everything.

I'm Damn proud of this team. I really thought we could beat Tampa as the series went on. They will get destroyed by Montreal, especially if Stamkos is Thorton 2.0 (can't score in playoffs). I think it might be time for Babcock to go. He obviously doesn't want to be here so lets go with Blashill, maybe he has a way to get Tats, Nyquist, and more of the younger guys to do something really special. Dump the dead weight and let's see if Holland can hopefully maybe do something. Have a great summer everyone, You guys are great. Good luck to Steve Yzerman and his Tampa LIghtning, he will always be the Captain. With that said, I just want the Wild to beat the Hawks, and the Flames to beat the Ducks, thats all I ask.
