How old is Hossa? We could have had him for all those years instead of Franzen.

We need a legit winger who can score big goals in the playoffs. If we have such a player currently on this team, please name him.

Scoring? Who needs scoring?

must re-sign Cole. Not having him hurt us. We need to give him a year for sure.

I have to respectfully disagree. This recurring injury of his is too much of a risk, plus he's old as hell. We need young guys entering or in their prime, not guys shopping for retirement homes. That's what has repeatedly gotten this team in trouble. Don't sign any FA's over 31.

They said on the radio when babs was asked if he would be back next year he said " i don't think so"...

Ugh.bring back bowman

Who said that on what radio station? I wouldn't totally trust it.

Whether he's going or staying I find it hard to believe he'd announce it in such a flip manner.

On future with Red Wings, Babcock says he'll be happy to "talk about that crap" later.

Who really thought we'd make it this far and cause Tampa Bay's coach to throw a media hissy fit? Most didn't expect us to make the playoffs... It was one hell of a year and I'm looking forward to next year.

I could complain and nit pick but I'm not even going to sweat it. It's going to be a long Summer but I'm looking forward to July. We're going further next year.

Go Wings!

and yeah

Go Habs.

Barf. Why on earth would you root for that scum bag PK?

Because he's a great player and seems like a decent guy? Because he does his job and gets under people's skin? Sure, he's immature and impulsive (Smith's disease), and sometimes he crosses the line. He's certainly not the only one who does.

So I agree. Go Habs Go!

The PK hate is really getting old. If he was on our team, this board would be oozing with joy at that fact on a daily basis, as they should.

This is a weak argument. I'd like Barnaby and Claude Lemieux in our team too. Doesn't mean they weren't flaming pieces of s***.

Except I don't think he's a flaming piece of s***, and I think it's absurd to mention him in the same sentence as guys like Lemieux. PK is no angel, and he certainly still has some growing up to do, but I don't think he's quite the ******* some people make him out to be.

I just find his dirty antics tiring. Especially when he looks so surprised and upset he's getting called for it. I'm not saying the guy isn't extremely talented, he is. Getting under people's skin is one thing, but crap like that slash the other day is just the tip of the ice berg that makes me not like him as a player. He reminds me a lot of Suh. Really dirty player, doesn't take responsibility for his cheap shots, extremely talented, seems like a nice guy off the ice.

So I gotta root for the Lightning on this one.

Did you really just say you'd rather the Blackhawks win the Cup??

I can't even look at you right now...

I think he meant Calgary, he just got through something tramatic, he's not in a right state of mind.

Agreed rick I think you need to take a moment to reevaluate your life choices right now.

I can't help it. I hate the teams in our division more now than I hate old rivals. The Hawks shouldn't adversely affect any Wings fans now any more than Tampa does.

We just lost to Tampa and that makes me ******* hate them. I think that's a legit way of feeling/seeing things.

Maybe the last time we see Babcock in Detroit. It was fun, but maybe its time for a new message. A stomping by the Bruins sandwiched by two heart breaking game 7 losses. Howard didn't play a single game; I wonder how he feels. Tampa was the better team. Detroit almost made their defense/system look invincible. I believe we will see Tampa beat Montreal and head to the Conference Finals against New York. I think Detroit needs a new coach, should trade Howard, and should find some offensive threats in the off-season. Zetterberg has declined substantially, and well, where is the offense going to come from next season?

I'm proud of our boys. They went further than I thought they would. They won three more games than the star-studded 2002-03 Red Wings. That team had Federov, Hull, Shanahan, Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Larionov, Holmstrom, Malty, Draper, Robitaille, McCarty, Chelios, Schneider and Yzerman, to drop a few names. There have been many game 7s in this franchise's past 15 years. Maybe all it takes is a little bit a push to get this team over the hump and back into Stanley Cup contention.

Never give up Wings! May we come out better next year, keep the streak going, and hey... maybe even make it out of the quarterfinals!

Good luck to Tampa and everybody else still in the playoffs.
