I hope Babs is back. Kenny didn't really give him much to work with and with what he had he's done a pretty good job.

Can't wait for next season because this team is getting better.

And we're NOT CHOKEYTOWN. That's the most stupidest statement I've ever heard. Do you even know what choking means with regards to the playoffs? Ask the Sharks.

I'd rather Anaheim or Chicago win the cup than Tampa or the Habs.

That's what playing in the East has done to my soul.

Well, I for one hope NO team wins. If I can't have the Cup, no one can - and I'll kill anyone who touches it!
Don't even look at it.

Whelp, I've given myself about 12 hours to digest this and my preliminary thoughts are...

1) If you don't blow leads in the third period, you'd be in Montreal already.

2) The kids were better than they were a year ago in the playoffs, so glad to see some improvement (6 goals and 3 assists from Nyquist, Tatar, Sheahan).

3) Datsyuk and Zetterberg look ooooooooooold.

4) Anybody seen Zetterberg, Abby, and Helm? Me neither.

This one hurts more than last year when we never had a chance.

A Montreal vs. Detroit series would have been awesome and fun for the league. Then again, the league doesn't like fun anymore. No scoring, no hitting and no fighting. No ratings either. Nobody gives a s*** about Tampa vs. Montreal.

They probably would've gotten swept away or maybe in 5. We don't match up well against Montreal. Price would've eaten most of the Wing's putrid shots all series long. No one would have watched the series by the time it got lopsided. 09 is sooo long ago. Please give me a new coach and rid me of the softer euro players we keep relying on. Doesn't cut it in today's NHL. Goodbye to those Scott Stevens/Nik Kronwall manly physical plays too. At least I can say I feel confident in the future at the goaltending position.

I can't help it. I hate the teams in our division more now than I hate old rivals. The Hawks shouldn't adversely affect any Wings fans now any more than Tampa does.

We just lost to Tampa and that makes me f****** hate them. I think that's a legit way of feeling/seeing things.

The Wings could play Tampa for the next 10 years in the playoffs and I would still never root for them to lose to Chicago.

f*** the Blackhawks, their fans and Eddie O. Anyone but them is my new team with the Wings out.

Game 4 was obviously the killer. I agree with Z and Helm. I will give Abby a pass, he was clearly playing with one hand.

If the Wings didn't blow third period leads, Montreal and Tampa would be playing here in the second round. It's been an issue all season.

For me, this was disappointing because the series was much more competitive than I expected and Tampa was ripe for the taking. It wasn't like Boston last year where they were clearly over matched. Look where Boston is now. The fine line between winning and losing is never lost on me anymore. Many good things to take away from this season.

I don't remember the Wings blowing lots of 3rd period leads this season. The loss in game 4 stands out, but it was the only such game in the series. And it was still only one loss.

This team is the type that could have still blown the series, like they did against Chicago a few years back.

Just watched the post-game interview with Babcock, it's up on NHL.

Classic:

"They went to church and we missed mass."

Somebody should have asked: "Moving forward, how do you see the goalie situation playing itself out next year?"

To which he'd respond "I plan on playing Fleury and Greiss about 60/40 respectively".
