The rangers should match up better against everybody, that defense looks like it'd be amazing on paper, its just not for some reason.

It seems big splashes at the trade deadline can be tricky because chemistry is so important.

Although as Bowman used to say, good players should be able to play with anyone.

Maybe yandle just doesn't like being a #6 defenseman, like it hurts his feelinga or something.

Also.

Can the caps please close this out tonight?

Agreed. It always ends up being the under the radar depth signings that work out well. Like what Stuart was for us in 2008.

But they have a new coach. Doesn't that change everything? Looks like they'll find out in game 7.

The Capitals came into the NHL in 1974. If I'm not mistaken, they've only been to the Conference Finals one time in their 40+ year history.

Pathetic.

They actually made it twice. In 1990, they were swept by the Bruins and in 1998 when they beat the Sabres, then got blasted in the Finals by the greatest franchise in sports. :bye1:

But even still, that is pretty bad. They're good, but just not good enough to get into those elite rounds. Here's hoping that changes for Game 7. I like the Caps and I hope Ovi comes up big.
