Even besides the penalties, there are better (albiet more expensive) options out there. Like Phaneuf. Green would lead to a lot more frustrations for us fans. Dion would make this team that much better.

I never said for the Wings to go after him. I'm saying just because he took a couple penalties doesn't mean he is totally useless. He is still a very useful defensemen.

definitely useful, but likely won't be worth the money he will be paid considering his best years are behind him.

I don't see how Orpik did anything wrong. How else was he supposed to hit him there? Was Orpik supposed to duck? Boyle is short and Orpik didn't leave his feet or extend his elbow. Of course he's going to hit him in the head.

His only other option was to get out of the way and let Boyle continue with the puck.

I don't think it was a bad hit at all. Even Boyle knew it was his own fault. But if he gets nothing after Kronwall's suspension, I will be pissed.

Also considering Orpik has history, and Kronwall didn't.
