Hammond got an extension. Bargain if he can continue to play anywhere near how he did this past season..

"@Senators: The average annual value of Hammonds extension is $1.35M ($1.2M, $1.35M, $1.5M) 🍔🍔🍔"

I'm likely in the minority but I don't want the Wings to sign any UFAs. The class is weak to say the least.

New coach and potential new roles for Jurco/Weiss + Pullkinnen in the line up means that signing a UFA this year would just crowd the roster and offer very little.

Last I remember was the Sedins

So a pre-cap, crazy 4-way trade, that happened 16 years ago.

I just don't see those kind of things happening ever again.

Also, I'm pretty sure Van robbed everyone in that trade

I get that but anyone and anything is tradable, whether it's picks or players for the right price.

Wayne Gretzky was traded after all.

reports have the Wings meeting with NCAA FA Mike Reilly....he is 6'1" 183 lb. left handed defenseman....does make sense or help us out any way? He is from Chicago and was drafted in '11 by Columbus. He is a FA this month. He is also meeting with Chicago so maybe they would have the hometown track on him....

Speaking of, any more word about Zach Hyman? It says on his wiki page that he told Florida he will opt to become a FA instead of signing there. Detroit is also listed as one of the interested teams...Florida owns his rights until August 15th, 2015....

Sure, anyone could be traded, but that doesn't mean it's likely to happen. Chicago could trade Toews, but I'm almost 100% sure that won't happen this year or ever.

I see these "Team X is thinking of trading their high 1st" every year and it never happens. Which leads me to believe it's just media drumming up story lines.

They are reaching for interest. If Toronto put together a good package it's a done deal. They are in a position to rebuild and they can escalate it quickly by making a move.

Is this Carl Soderberg any good? Hes 6'3 and a swede and detroit has plenty of manlove for swedes...

Carl Soderberg's agent, J.P. Barry, has told the Boston Globe his client will not be brought back by the Bruins this off-season.

Barry informed the Globe that the Bruins to not plan on pitching a contract offer to his client.

The Bruins are battling salary cap issues and GM Don Sweeney appears to be moving in a different direction with Soderberg.

Barry told the Globe the Bruins "can't make an offer at this juncture."

Soderberg, 29, will become an unrestricted free agent July 1 after his three-year, $3.25 million contract expires.

In 82 games with the Bruins this season, Soderberg registered 13 goals and 31 assists for 44 points.

Sheahan is our Soderberg. Developing player that has fulltime 2C written in their future.

There are other teams with depth at Center issues that will ****** him up before we'd be able to make the requisite moves of off-loading Weiss and at least one other forward to make room for him. Not saying I wouldn't take him, I just don't think we NEED him.

Really, I can't say ******... okay... then GRAB.

I don't know much about Soderberg at all, other than the fact that Boston fans are ecstatic he's leaving. Apparently he was good the first half of the season and then terrible hot garbage the second half.

My Perfect off season.....Blashill (check!)

Trade Weiss, Smith and Kindl, rights to Andersson all for more draft picks.

Sign Mike Green, Cody Franson and Carl Soderberg.

Re-Sign ALL our other RFA's.

Keep Marchenko, Sproul and Ouellet in GR for HUGE minutes.

Promote permanently Jensen, Ferraro, Callahan.

Franzen to LTIR "retirement."

AND DO NOT RE-SIGN YOU KNOW WHO!!!

6M, 5M, 3M (at least) respectively. In 2016, DeKeyser, Mrazek, Sheahan, Jurco, Pulkinnen will all be RFAs in need of raises and Helm + Abdlekader will be UFAs.

Somehow I don't see this working under the cap.
