Well, Hyman signed a 2 year EL deal with Toronto. I bet this has Babcock all over it! He probably knew Hyman was leaning toward Detroit and in order to keep us from getting better he had Shanny swoop in and kill that chance!

Of course Kenny could've just traded a useless forward like McKegg to Fla and signed him himself, but of course Hyman is also from Toronto, so we had that to deal with...oh well. I am just angry at this though, I despise our former coach and shanny even more now!

Hyman signs in hometown, Reilly more than likely signing in hometown, WTF is going on here?!?! Don't kids want to get out and explore the world anymore?

Who knows, but I'm sure glad DeKeyser didn't have this attitude.

i think Marchy will be in as Blashill rates him highly, maybe we move Smith in a deal and get to bring up Ouellete as well. Babs wouldnt want

2 rookies on his roster but maybe Blas will.

I see us going after Soderberg in a big way and Id like us to try and get Sustr if he isnt a RFA that is. I think overall is that we'll not get dragged

into a bidding war with the other teams for the UFA's D out there and were more likely to get a top D in a trade. So thing aint looking to rosy in

Arizona lately, OEL anyone ? but what would that cost Kenny?!

Soderberg reportedly wants 5 mill per season. Either that report is way off or he's out of his mind, imo. I think he should get a bridge deal, maybe around 3-3.5 ish per season. Then again, limited free agent classes do strange things to player value.

I bet if the wings would've traded for Petry we would've beat Tampa and Montreal. Now we are stuck playing with the scraps in FA again because Kenny only rents old players.

They needed a pure RHed offensive D man.

Keeping that criterea in mind: Zidlicky was a better, cheaper, option.

Besides, it's not like Petry was much help to Montreal in that Tampa series.

Go big or go home. If they can't get a high end player somehow, let the younger guys fill bigger roles instead of signing some average player like Soderberg or any defenseman on the free agent market.

I think this will be exactly what happens. Either Holland makes a big trade, or they go with the kids.

Ryan O'Reilly wouldn't be a bad move, How stupid would Babs feel if we got a replacement for Datsyuk right after he leaves, apparently Detroit is interested, it would probably cost us a 1st Round pick and Mantha, Quincey and one of our d prospects, I think they would take Quincey he's playing decent hockey and they have absolutely nothing on the blue line.

I think Colorado will trade ROR to Arizona for the third overall and take Hanafin to fill their need on defense. Just a guess though.

The time for Detroit to acquire ROR was prior to last offseason. I think they would have been more willing to trade O'Reilly for another forward if they could still have retained Stastny.

ROR wants 7.5 8 years Avs don't have the space so if they don't trade him they'll lose him for nothing next year just like they lost Stastny, Tor Det Buf all interested I think the Habs are too, notice they are all in the east lol, honestly Our first this year Quincey Mantha and one of our D prospects isn't that bad for a center of his Caliber he's 24 and already a great two way player in Roy's god awful system lol.

He hasn't budged on the price all year my guess is they'll make space or move him before the deadline but the Contravts are starting to add up over there, they have Mackinnon and Duchene and ROR no way they can keep em all

That is perplexing....does Colorado need a center? Let's hope he still becomes a UFA.

Well, you have to think that Holland was not interested in him because a 6th round pick isn't that expensive, although the asking price was probably more expensive for Holland being in the division.

Because the Wings are so soft that even a women would toughen them up. Hardy Har.

Sports jokes that connect the perception of a weak athlete to a women are soooooooo funny.

Holy crap I didn't have to be the one to say it this time

The time for Detroit to acquire ROR was prior to last offseason.

It's never *NOT* the time to trade for ROR. His beard alone brings things like "truculence" and "intangibles."

Must be preparing to trade ror. Can't wait until the ball gets rolling tomorrow. Should be an exciting draft.

Yeah, there was a report where they said they have "no choice but to trade ror," so I'm assuming he's not going to sign a new deal until he hits UFA.

Which is going to significantly drop his value...and he was supposedly asking for 8yrs/60million, which also doesn't help the avs, 7-8 million for ror is absurd.
