jimmyemeryhunter 2,747 Report post Posted June 27, 2015 he has a ntc though think he wants to go to az? if he waives it he will want to go to a contender or else he wont budgeI think hell go where he knows hell be playing. And in Arizona, he would be the best center they have, and if strome is playing in the NHL, he'll need some protection. So yes, I absolutely think he'd waive for Arizona, no contender would take him, he knows this.

sjr2012 439 Report post Posted June 27, 2015 so on a side note I have this bad feeling the wings may go after St Louis for that 2nd center we need and they will think he is the answer typical end of his career ........40 years old prob a high number too huh? sjr2012 439 Report post Posted June 27, 2015 (edited) I thought St. Louis was a winger. he is but I could see us trying to use him there just because his hollands type no but seriously I have had my eyes on two centers that might be a good fit depending on term one is Vermette and the other is roy I like Antoine vermette more but I guess it all depends on where we could slot him as far as d goes im only into green or franson but its unlikely we go for green Ithink he will ask for too much plus Kenny wants the kids to come up im just afraid of what this team will look like with the same d core ...... sjr2012 439 Report post Posted June 27, 2015 (edited) We have helm who could move back to center of needed he needs to be at center problem is Tinky Wink and him both seem to be Slated for that 3rd line center unless of course you move Z AND D back together but as of right now it seems like unless we try to see if Weiss can pan out than we are missing that key 2nd line center which is a big must if we want to combine z and d back on that first line Edited June 27, 2015 by sjr2012

GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted June 27, 2015 The Wings will pursue Green hard, get outbid again by someone else in free agency (which is fine in this case) and then just continue to fill the roster internally. I really don't expect much of anything come July 1st. With Blashill and the wave of prospects coming, I'm OK with that. 2 jimmyemeryhunter and kliq reacted to this
LeftWinger 4,953 Report post Posted June 28, 2015 I got a feeling that there won't be any UFA signings from outside the organization...but I will probably sit and watch free agent frenzy all day in hopes for something that will make the team much better. Holland doesn't sign small old slow wingers to move them to center. And our d will probably look the same, with Xavier oulette and/or marchenko on the team. But it'll be alright. 2 krsmith17 and GoWings1905 reacted to this
Shinzaki 72 Report post Posted June 28, 2015 We signed KQ last year on FA day...even on one ankle he was very effective last year. He's not very flashy, doesn't try to lay the big hits that draw penalties and suspensions, but he uses his body and leverage around the cage better than anyone else we have 1 marcaractac reacted to this
Andy Pred 48 337 Report post Posted June 28, 2015 I think Kenny will blow us all away by signing 2 top Ufas and trading for that top D we all know we need. But then again I am a mad Englishman

And if he stinks it up you waive him and there's no cap hit and all is well

jimmyemeryhunter 2,747 Report post Posted June 28, 2015 (edited) Ya. Pap. I don't want Richards eitherYeah, a pro tryout with minimum salary wouldn't hurt anything, but I have a feeling someone would offer him a bit more, which is fine, but I'm more excited about potentially filling out the rest of our line up with the kids.It would be awesome to see one of them on the team this year, even if just for a small stint. Plus we have pulks who will be up full time, so were kind of low on space. Having him as An extra body at camp wouldn't be bad, and he may have something left in the tank. And hes probably going to be fighting to continue his career, so his effort will most likely be there... I just think we have much better options internally. LeftWinger 4,953 Report post Posted June 28, 2015 as much as I'd like Holland to sign someone new this week, the more I read about going with the kids, the more I get comfortable with the idea. I just wonder if they will indeed buyout Weiss and really give Larkin a shot at being in Detroit now. Tatar - Datsyuk - Abdelkader Nyquist - Larkin - Zetterberg Jurco - Sheahan - Pulkkinen Miller - Glendening - Helm Andersson/Ferraro Kronwall - Ericsson Quincey - Dekeyser Smith - Marchenko Kindl/Jensen Mrazek Howard still would like to trade Smith and Weiss for a pick or two and then bring up Ouellet as well. Then keep Sproul and Jensen in GR for another year until Q and K are gone or dealt.
