It has actually been turning me away from the league. Once upon a time, even when the Wings were eliminated, I'd be glued to the TV watching games every night. Just loved the game. These days when the Wings are not playing, the interest just isn't there for me. I root against teams like the Habs because I get tired of hearing about them. But that's about it. I haven't even watched the cup clinching game last year. Never in my life have I missed that.

Not that I want to defend crying or a Hab, but are you guys serious in thinking its not a big deal that the ref did those things (if true?).

We already know how they start doing bulls*** faceoffs once playoffs start and try to become center of attention. I am sorry, but refs doing s*** like that to Prust then giving him additional penalty for nothing he did? Like he said, refs like to play God and if they are affected playoffs that is utter bs.

Agreed.

Prust is an idiot so it's not exactly coming from the best source. But there are certain refs who seem to get amped up during a game and forget they're not one of the players. McGeough was a prime example.

This makes me feel even worse about losing to TB. Seems like Montreal is playing like garbage. Or does TB just match up better against them? They sure didn't last season in the playoffs.

I don't have the numbers, but I read that TB matches up really well against Montreal and did really well against them in the regular season. This is why Montreal fans wanted us to win.
