"Didn't even have to whine about the referees not being nice to us this time."

This tie is disastrous... and I'm afraid it matches his socks...

I don't want Yzerman to have a cup with another team. There. I said it.

Why not? After all he's done for our franchise, I'd like to see him continue to be successful, even if it isn't with us. Get his name a few more times on that Stanley Cup and when he's done there and can come back to Detroit and build us into another championship team. I wish nothing but the best for Stevie.

Cooper on the other hand... maybe winning will help him mature into a real man from the whiny little rat he is now.

Because I am a mopey pissbaby and I don't want him to. It's not rational or mature, but it's how I feel and my therapist says I need to honor that.

I'm not feeling bad in fact it's the opposite I wanted Tampa to come out of the East and it looks like they at least have a chance. Yeah neither the Rangers nor Tampa will have a chance against the West but nonetheless a great job bthe whole team, Cooper and the Captain

Agreed. As far as I'm concerned the Stanley cup finals is going to played between the Ducks and the Blackhawks. Any east/west confrontation following that is just x-number of games of applause to the winner from west. These 2 teams are in a league of their own among the remaining ones. I believe that literally. Can't wait to follow that series.

And I'm picky and a Redwings fan, just thought I'd mention that as my post could be seen as a rabid ducks/hawks fan rant for the uninitiated.

I don't know why everyone is praising the ducks as some almighty God like team, they are notorious choke artists in the playoffs it's just a matter of time, and any team, played the right way is beatable. The two best teams were in the east and the president trophy winner is still in the playoffs. I'm not buying into the Anaheim craze, sure they are playing awesome but they ARE beatable, as are the s***hawks

Well after seeing how poorly the Canadiens played in that last game I feel a lot better about our team effort against Tampa

Man the clock is ticking on this team

Mr. I needs to get Babs signed, get him and pav and hank some help, get the team in the new arena and win one more cup

It seems like we have been 2 pieces short of a cup for a few years now except last year when we struggled so much, and notwithstanding the drop off this year

* prays for manna and a cup to put it in *

I want them to choke in the finals...

But I think I want them to beat Chicago.

I'm not really sure though
